a baby and her basket

you know how that old saying goes, "kids have more fun with the box than the present"?  well.  here is one classic example of kiddo fun on a lazy weekend afternoon.  with a room full of beautiful toys and shelf lined with gorgeous books, this little turkey prefers a basket.  on her head, no less.

i love the adorable reminders our sweet stella gives us daily about the beauty of finding joy in the simple things.  cheers to wearing baskets on our heads and enjoying life's small pleasures!

want to know my simple pleasure this morning??  two, yes TWO full thermoses of cafe so thoughtfully prepared by my hubby this morning for my looooong day back at work.  what a gem he is.  oh, and happy tuesday, dear friends!

  3. Isn't that always the case? Holden is always more interested in boxes, spoons, tupperware, etc. so much for the millions of dollars i have already spent on toys. haha

  6. lol, don't children teach us so much ? my daughter had endless fun with a block of polystyrene that was brought into my house last week. As you say: it's the little things :-)
