back into our jammies

today, stella and i are spending some quality time together while daddy is off at work.

stella and i started the morning with a hearty breakfast; she gulped down some pureed sweet potatoes, while i devoured some peanut butter and honey on toast. yum, is all we have to say.

then it was off to bath time and back in to our jammies. yes, back into the most comfortable of all outfits. there is no better reason than a day off of work for me to leap back into my jammies with my little gal. (sometime during the cold winter weeks, i secretly put on my jammies under my clothes to allow me to be at a moments notice and one step closer to being "pajamaed.") not that you really cared, but it's sort of amazing.

after returning to a state of cuddledom with my leg-warmer wearing babe, we read story after story on her bedroom floor. one of thee best things i ever did for stella while i was pregnant was have a book themed baby shower. this helped us start our little reader's library right away.

if you have not heard of this book, go it get!!! the pictures are phenomenal and the message is one for all ages. i read it to my 8th graders this year, and they loved it too!

i told you so...

reading eventually lead to lunch...which always leads to nap time.

days like this just can't be beat, and it's only noon. :)
