monthly captures // march

march.  a month of transitions.  a month of longing.  a chirping bird here a blade of green grass there. spring just barely peeking through.  this past month ushered in our first long walks through the park and we ate more pastor tacos at our favorite dive in kansas than ever before.  in march, we pretended it was summer and wore shorts and skirts far too often than we should have.  it was fun.  we had play dates with babies and lots of warm baths before bedtime.  little theodore started teething this month, giving his cheeks the rosiest hue.  his cuddling intensified and he crocheted himself onto my hip in the sweetest fashion.  miss stella went to her first birthday party and slept over at her aunties house.  she is growing like a weed before our very eyes and become all the wiser.  as you can see, a whole lot went on these past thirty one days and it was a delight!

monthly captures // february

february, you gave us so many wonderful gifts amidst the dreary short days that are usually filled up with cold winds and grey skies.  throughout your twenty eight days there were long bouts of coziness and a even a few days where the little black birdies sang outside our cracked window pane.  as i look back, i see you gave us a real chance to hibernate.  a moment to slow down and snuggle in.  we took advantage of our warm little nest and did a lot of nothing.  it felt good to keep a relaxed pace, but now we are ready to move.  ready for more sunshine.  march, show us what you got!

monthly captures // january

january, you took our family toward the sunshine and helped us see the importance in slowing down. you gave us lots of snuggly snuggles, heaps of last minute soups, and aways a hot mug chock full of fluffy mallows.  it feels like you flew by, but in looking back at these beautiful moments captured, it is clear you indeed gave us so very much.
