on motherhood // my babies and i


with each new day and careful appreciation, i get to open my gift that is motherhood.  as i scrupulously peel back the paper surrounding this gracious gift with my tired eyes adjusting to the radiant morning light, sounds of sweet baby grunts and heavy toddler footsteps create a symphony of home.  it's then my day begins.  how blessed am i that someone has captured bits and pieces of it all for us to hold tight and treasure for ever and ever?  very blessed, that's for sure.  a real storyteller she is and i am very thankful for her and her poetic talent.

    Wow - she did such a lovely job on these photos! I loved reading your prespective on motherhood - and I couldn't agree more! I have 5 children that range in ages 2 to 17 years old. Through it all, I've come to understand just how quickly time passes. Though difficult at times, I still believe that there is no greater honor and joy then that of being a mama. I try to treasure each moment - and TRY to take the bad with a grain of salt - knowing that those stressful times will one day make the funniest stories!
