dear theo // one month

dear theo,

my darling boy you are one month old.  your famous expression at this sweet stage of your life has been rightfully dubbed, "thee pouty face".  you proudly display it each and every time after you've gotten done nursing so i get to see it about twelve times a day.  so heavenly.  at one month old, your dad and i cherish the way you arch your back just so and basically sing "mooove on over angelina!" with those protruding lips of yours.  bath time doesn't phase you right now, little one.  you fit so snug in our scalloped sink in the bathroom and love when the warm water flows over your shiny newborn skin.  and after you've been all suds up, we smell you for hours on end and nibble on your delicious toes.  theodore, you must know you sound like a chipmunk on occasion and we adore it.  this squeaky sound you make is usually accompanied by a lingering stretch of the arms and makes us melt, melt, melt.  don't ever stop, okay?  and can we talk about that oh so suave hairdo you've got going on?  everyone, and i mean everyone, thinks you are the spitting image of your daddy because of the way you've got it styled.  it must be that darling swoop above your forehead that as a way of leaning a tad to the left.  genetic?  maybe.  adorable?  YES.  

my goodness, one month looks good on you, sweetie.  we love you to the moon.
