here i go again with my impulsive painting projects. but i have a serious crush on this sweet little table of ours. we found her lying by the dumpster when we first moved to kansas city about four years ago. there she sat, begging for a fresh coat of paint and a vase of wild flowers to show off. we scooped her up and she's been with us ever since. among our many pieces of free furniture, she is my favorite. i am always careful not to ding her, but do i ever appreciate the numerous kicks and dents she's accumulated throughout her lifetime! perfectly imperfect she is. and for pete's sake, i've rather awkwardly referred to her as an objective personal pronoun since laying eyes on her...sitting there all lonely and abandoned on 6th street. since she is the focal point of our dining room, and our only real pop of color there (besides our highchair) i decided to paint her something of a soothing color. a voice in my head said, no whispered, "...bluuush piiink...". a fun trip to home depot and three coats of paint later, i can firmly say i am overjoyed with how she turned out, all feminine and sweet. such sophistication and charm! andrew adores the new color, too, which makes me love him even more. because most men i know do not care for blush pink, and most definitely not in their tiny home. this dear girl is with us for the long haul.

Personally, I'm a big fan of hot pink but this table looks good. It totally works. By the way, I definitely LOLd on the "impulsive painting projects" because I have that too! Nice blog you have here. Found you on Bloglovin and I'm definitely following you.
ReplyDeletethank you for your kind words! i surely love a little pink here and there. :)
