our fourth of july

for the fourth this year we kept it pretty chill.  i woke up late to a hippie running around our home ready to rock, compliments of her dada who was beaming with pride.  her outfit was all him down to the braided hair band.  this picture of her is one of my very favorites.   

our holiday morning started off with strong coffee and reruns of scandal, our new favorite tv show.  we hung around in our pj's until the sun was high in the sky, begging us to go to the pool.  so to the pool we went!  there was a bbq there with delicious summery foods.  you know: baked beans, charred burgers, pasta salad, and watermelon by the boat load.  we soaked up the rays before heading over to andrew's parents house.  after the sun went down, we headed up to the rooftop for some panoramic fireworks.  what a neat way to experience the fourth of july!  sparkling lights boomed all around for over an hour.  each direction gave us quite a show.  meanwhile, stella and andrew had fun with her first sparklers.  her face says it all and it was pretty wonderful.
