stella: and then all of a sudden, in one serious blink of an eye, she turned into a teenager.  seriously!  just like that.  miss personality has been exhibiting some rather sassy snippets this week.  she has been testing my patience throughout the day, which is pretty new for both of us.  i think she can sense that she will not be my one and only baby for long.  it's either that, or because she's two.  probably a healthy combination of both.  regardless, i have been trying my very best to breathe deep, get on her level, and talk with her when she is having a moment.  like when she wanted to wear these sunnies from urban outfitters home.  i am pretty sure i told her we could watch "lion show" (madagascar) when we got him if she put them back.  i know bribing is a big no-no.  but hey.  sometimes a little madagascar is good for mum and bub, ya know?

baby boy: our little one has been getting to eat all sorts of good food this week.  lucky, lucky him!  we recently went to the local pig as a family to pick up some charcuterie.  it was a friday night and we ventured down to the east bottoms where we were delighted to find the most perfectly little local meat shop.  we shopped a bit and then ate at their big, yellow food truck pigwich around the corner.  each one of us had a relationship with our meals.  lots of "mmming" and "ahhhing" happened there.  it was that good.  and as usual, our sweet boy kicked all the while i ate.  i think he is going to like burgers just as much as i.  at least, i sure hope so.
