thank you, friends

i want to tell you thank you.  yes, you!  i don't do it enough, and frankly, i am very appreciative of this community, and i want you to know that.  i am the type of person who adores positive affirmation, perhaps we all are, so i want to extend a warm hug and friendly smile to you for being a part of my small internet world.  you mean a lot to me.

this blog i have is a small one.  it's comprised of silly words strung together, a handful of iPhone photos here and there, with a recipe or two if i happen to snag a quick pic, so the fact that you take time to stop by and sometimes even post, well gosh.  you make me blush.  and we will get a real camera one day and get all fancy with our photos here.  but for now, le phone does the job! we are saving our pennies, that is for sure.

so thank you for that...for stopping by and for being nice.  on rather crummy days i look back on comments and instantly my attitude takes a turn for the better.  what a wonderful thing, this community is.

and let me shout out to instagram, too.  these lovely yellow flowers and embroidery is from my pal lindsay.  i knew her for a long time as herwelshness...you know, those silly instagram names we all memorize by accident.  ;)  she gave this little gift to me and it meant the world.  she's a keeper, that one. and my friend lauren, too.  mrsswift, you rock.  you are a gem and a mama bear i look up to in many ways.  i cannot wait to visit you in nashville this summer!  we are counting down the days.

so, in short.  thank you, thank you, thank you.  to all of you, really.  for helping make this space a happy one and for being my support.  i do not always respond to you, which i NEED to work on doing, but i ALWAYS read your comments.  usually twice.

i hope you have a swell thursday, sweet friends.

xx, amanda

  1. I love reading your blog!
As a single 23 year old girl just starting off on her own your blog has inspired me to take time to appreciate the simple things in life and de-clutter. Your little family is adorable and I hope some day I can have a husband that loves me just as your husbands seems to adore you.

Thank YOU for letting me read along with your life--you are awesome!
