c'est noël // part I

it's christmas!  it's christmas!  we are so happy about it, too.  can you tell?  i love that christmas is leaving it's adorable self all over our little home.  from candy cane straws to homemade holiday cards, 'tis the season in our haven, indeed.  something else we love about the holidays is that the warmth it brings with all of its coziness.  december just begs us to wear pi's more often and to hum "white christmas" while doing the dishes or otherwise boring chores.  ...and i must say, sipping hot cocoa in thick, wool socks with elf playing in the background is nothing short of magic, no?  

here is what christmas looks like for us, part I.

1. our kitchen chalkboard greeting us with happiness and cheer.
2. my great-grandma's santa and mrs. clause.  i used to play with them with i was a little girl and she left them for me.  i love them and their cute wire glasses.
3. my first attempt at making our holiday cards this year. 
4. the morning's glow on our tree, fully clad in my childhood ornaments. 
5. the cutest red boot in all the land, chock-full of cocktail straws.
