recipe // kale chips

it's no secret we're longing for spring.  we've been home bound, some days without a car, for far too long.  we miss the park.  the splash pad.  eating fresh veggies from the market.  pulling weeds.  collecting sticks.  and sometimes, these long winter months bring with them an unhealthy monotny of habits, like eating less than healthy snacks and munching on too many sweets leftover from valentines day.  in efforts to eat just a little better and get our dose of vitamin C, we've been snacking on kale chips nonstop.  they take all of about fifteen minutes to make and less than about five to devour.  just ask stella.  they are her new favorite snack.

ingredients:

- one big bunch of fluffy emerald kale
- olive oil
- sea salt

to prepare, wash and cut your kale into bite size pieces.  make sure it is thoroughly dried with a salad spinner or paper towels before drizzling with olive oil and sprinkling with sea salt.  toss the dressed leafs with your hands and put them in the oven at 350 degrees for about fifteen minutes.  just make sure the edges do not burn.  take them out, let them cool, and eat however you prefer. i have been putting some in my soup, and boy, is it ever good!

  5. Kale chips cost a fortune to buy but look so easy to make. They are very addicting too. Can't wait to try this with my garden kale, I am sure my partner will be very impressed!
