our sweet theo louie just couldn't wait to meet us, so we celebrated his birthday a few weeks early yesterday. our darling boy was born at 3:06 in the afternoon after one and a half pushes, weighing a little over six and a half pounds and at nineteen inches long. being a preemie, his wee lungs are in need of some extra support, so he is in the nicu for a bit. but there's a rumor out there that we might get to snuggle him later and we are certainly smitten with that idea! it goes without saying, we are in love with every little dark brown curl on that perfectly round head, and every single strand of peach fuzz on his itty bitty body. we love him to pieces and couldn't be happier.
Congrats, Amanda! So happy for you guys :) Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers as his little lungs get stronger! He's so precious.

Congratulations!!!! He is so very precious! Having my son in the nicu and looking at you last picture brings back floods of memories for me 18 months ago. Those nicu nurses are sent from heaven. i've been following you on instagram for a while because your pregnancy was a month behind mine. your photos are so adorable, and they made me excited for my first (born about three weeks ago). my heart goes out to you and little theo, and i am sending as much love and good thoughts your way as i can muster. i saw you held him for the first time today, and it made me teary-eyed. i'll hold onto my daughter that much tighter today, and i'll be thinking of you and your family. best of luck.

ReplyDeleteThere is nothing more precious or heartwarming than seeing a Daddy doing 'kangaroo care' with his NICU baby. I know this because among the pictures I treasure most from my own daughter's week in the NICU (9 years ago this November! Oh how the time flies!) are those of my husband with her cradled against his chest. <3 Warm thoughts and whispered prayers are being sent to Theo and your whole family from PA...
