being a mama to an oshkosh overall wearing, bow-clad lady bird is simply delightful. this ever curious one plays in the mud with every chance she gets. no toys needed; mother nature will do. with her, the most mundane pebbles never go unnoticed. she tends to them with hushed whispers and careful fingers. walks with her undoubtedly result in meandering about looking for that perfect star-shaped leaf with one shoe lace just about to come untied. as the little curl at the end of her pony tail bounces away, dirt accumulates under her fingernails faster than lightning. give her a stick, and you are giving her a world of possibilities; give her a stick with some dust, you will get an artful masterpiece.

This reminds me of my gal so much. Always a bunch of flowers in one hand and a pile of rocks in the other. Who needs toys?

I hope that my children love the outdoors as much as your sweet little girl! I am going to do everything in my power.

i love these photos! i also have a little girl, with dirt that is perpetually stuck under her nails no matter how many times i cut them or scrub them. however, i love that she loves playing outside with dirt, rocks, grass and sticks. i buy osh kosh overalls new or old, in the boys or girls section - they are adorable, and last forever!
ReplyDeleteyour little girl is adorable! i love dressing mine in overalls, and i am always on the look-out for osh kosh ones in the boys or girls section wherever i go - they look great and last forever!
ReplyDeletei feel like i am always scrubbing dirt from under my little one's fingernails, and cutting them shorter every other day... but i love that she loves to play outside and enjoy the world around her.
these pictures are darling! i love her outfit and chucks! i can't wait to dress up my little girl like that one day!
