on a typical snow day...

in case you haven't heard, kansas city is buried under one big pile of white fluffy snow.  and just when we thought it was going to warm up, it decided to snow again.  and again!  school has been canceled now for a total of four days, leaving us all cooped up inside with lots of movies (thanks to netflix) and a not-so-healthy amount of hot coca and sweets.  but what else is there to do besides those two things with such blustery weather?  

we, and as in "we" i mean stella, are making a smooth transition from melmo (elmo) to la-laCK (the lorax) over here.  the upper case CK is indeed necessary because stella pronounces the lorax with a strong german-influenced flem conjuring "CK" sound for some reason unbenounced to me.  but boy is it cute.  we ask her what she is watching about 200 times a day just so she will say it.  i was so happy that she decided to get interested in something apart from that high pitched furry red turd, only to find that dr. seuss has many more high pitched furry colorful turds.  oh kids shows.  you're killin' me.  

but on a happier note, we had lots of hot coca and sweet treats!  did i mention this?  and it wouldn't be a perfect cup of liquid chocolate without tiny melted marshmallows to stick to your lips as you sip, now would it.  so our snow days have all melted together only to reflect a blur of sing-alongs and empty coca mugs lying around our apartment.  all in all, snow days have been rather fun but we prefer spring.  so hurry up, mother nature, and get to it!
