it's all about the small victories in life, the little things, if you will. it's about those random experiences for which we give thanks and celebrate a life fulfilled. it's about moments that others may deem trivial and inconsequential, yet to one person, they add spark to the flame and light up a dark day. it's about soaking up and relishing in the pure moments of exquisite happiness, and then taking a second to smile...and to respond with a simple, "thank you." small victories make life beautiful and unexpected; they create memories and nourish the soul. they are priceless.
tonight my husband brought me this, a tiny pink flower from the patch of grass across from our apartment. picked by hand, delivered with a kiss.
he said three words that filled me with hope and love and joy.
"because it's wednesday."

how cute :) a 12 year old boy on a scateboard yelled 'you are very sexy, miss' at me the other day, in a very polite fashion. I almost fell over backwards. totally made my day! definitely a small victory!!

Aww! Your husband is so sweet! Hmm, small thing for me was having a student come up to me at the bookstore the other day and thank me for reading Hunger Games to her class a couple years ago.
