a very hoppy easter weekend indeed!

we had a very hoppy easter indeed!  andrew and i got that extra wink of sleep and baby girl got spoiled with lots of attention and love from all of her nanas and papas, including her great nanas and great papas, too!  stella even had a few "firsts" on our trip back to iowa, like...

...her first wagon ride in mama's old radio flyer.   we were so lucky because the weather was more than perfect, like 70 degrees on the dot perfect.  my dad cleaned up my old wagon and we walked baby girl through the neighborhood.  she could not have been happier.  she would try to get out when we slowed down, that little turkey! dada solved this problem by going a bit faster and letting the breeze rush through her curls.  i think we have a dare-devil on our hands!

...her first time in the grass.  i know it sounds strange since we frequent the park quite often, but little miss did not fancy the grass until this past easter weekend.  she usually refrains from touching it an stays on her quilt, but not this time.  she sat there in the midst of the forest in my parent's back yard, soaking in the sun whilst twirling her purple flower.  she looked like a tiny garden fairy :)

...her first easter!  and what a great first easter it was.  she got all sorts of goodies, including an adorable basket with her name on it, a summer outfit, a book, and lots of candy {for mama & dada}.

i could not help but think on our drive back home how what a lucky little family we are.  there are so many wonderful people we have in our lives, and spending the holiday's with them is simply the best!

we hope you got to spend your easter holiday with the ones you love, too.

  1. Grandma Ohonar must have been smiling from above to see that wagon being used again. Stella is going to be a thrill seeker...I think I heard her saying "Go faster Daddy-go faster!" Love all the pictures. You got some great shots!
