eggs and bunnies and easter, oh my!

this year for easter we are headed to iowa to celebrate the holiday with our families.  since we are not having easter at home, our little family decided to engage in some pre-easter fun by reading all of stella's books that include eggs and bunnies throughout the week.  what a blast this has been!!  kids books are the best, they really are.  as i perused stella's ever-growing library, i noticed we have quite a few of these easter related books.  i love the classics, "i am a bunny" and "the golden egg."  i love asking stella, "where is the bunny?"  and she replies with a firm, "ah...ah!"   the illustrations are exquisite and detailed.  i also adore the bold and bright colors that fill each page.  and as for "pat the bunny," it just melts my heart! 

baby girl loved holding onto her little fury bunny she got as an early gift from mama & dada very tightly as we read all snuggled up in her nursery.  she pointed to the bunnies and even played with the easter window decals her nana sent in the mail.  thank you , nana!  recently, i wrote about the joy and excitement in starting new traditions with this little family of mine, and i think this easter book reading tradition just might have to stick!  stay tuned to see miss stella sporting some too cute for words bunny ears of her own :)  happy {almost} weekend everyone!
