here are five of my favs according to my senses as of late:
fountain gazing after an evening walk on the plaza with my little family. we are so lucky to live in an area that has so many beautiful fountains. kansas city has been dubbed "the city of fountains" and proudly holds true to its nick-name. after andrew gets home from work and before we have dinner, we like to strap up our babes and take a walk around the canal & around the tennis courts. pictured above is one of "our spots" we enjoy visiting before heading home. stella loves to sit on the edge of the fountain with me and watch the water splash our toes. leon takes this opportunity to let the mist of the water cool his adorable mug.
the quirky, jazzified {?}, soul-filled voice of the stunning kimbra. andrew and i recently went to an outdoor music concert and saw her perform live. she blew us away with the deep-felt emotion she exuded on stage. isn't she just adorable? this is my current fav of hers. p.s. stella can really rock out to this tune...and is right now...as i type...
slurping on these snapple fruit bars from the dollar section at target. that's right, we paid a whopping buckaroo for a pack of these delights. they are sooo addictive on a hot summer day! sadly, we ate the whole pack in...two hours. i enjoyed the kiwi strawberry, while stella and her dada swooned over the mango madness. we hope they are there on our next tar-jay run!
taking in the scent of freshly cut grass on our visits to the park. we have been going a lot these days, and we can never pass up a cool spot under the big shady oak trees. baby girl is quite partial to her quilt but has been getting a tad adventurous by wandering off {but only sometimes} onto the grass.
holding this little nugget on my hip throughout the day. i admit, i am a totally sucker for this wee one. as soon as she throws up those arms in the air, i cannot help but pick her up and hold her close. i know that i am spoiling her probably shouldn't be, but hey, if i can windex our windows and cuddle at the same time, why shouldn't i? i know that one day she will be too big for holding and i will long for the days that she requested it. so, here's to sore arms and multitasking. :)

What a creative post! I love me some baby hip holding!

I find myself picking up my littles all the time too. They're just so cuddly and cute that it's hard not to hold them close. Love the photo from the park.
